The surroundings:
Holiday park De Sonnevijver is nestled in greenery, surrounded by forests, walking paths and water. From your cottage, you can walk straight into nature. In the direct vicinity, you will find the beautiful Hoge Kempen National Park, charming villages like Oud-Rekem (awarded the most beautiful village in Flanders) and the vibrant city of Maastricht, just a 15-minute drive away.

🌿 ’t Bunga Huiske – A warmly decorated holiday home for four guests and optionally a pet. This cosy and homely stay feels like coming home. The soft colours, natural materials and inviting interior make it a place you’ll never want to leave.
🌊 Bunga Vijverzicht – A unique holiday home for four guests with breathtaking views of the pond. With its own private jetty, this is the perfect spot for nature lovers and those seeking peace and quiet. Wake up to the sound of gentle rippling water and enjoy the sunset from your terrace.
The Sonnevijver
Vacation park the Sonnevijver offers several facilities. For example, there are several ponds/lakes including a swimming lake and a fishing pond. At the swimming lake there is a small playground for children. Next to the park there is a brand new indoor playground "the Elfenbos" with accompanying brasserie "the Pitstop". The brasserie can be reached from the park and here there is also a small outdoor playground.
The Hoge Kempen. This beautiful nature reserve can be reached from several points and is located near the vacation park. This nature reserve is the first National Park in Belgium! It is a unique nature reserve where more than 12 000 ha of natural beauty is managed and protected. Extensive pine forests alternate with purple flowering heather and shifting dunes, large lakes bear witness to gravel and sand extraction, high peaks offer magnificent views, .... Numerous rare and unusual animals live in this natural setting. The National Park is there both to protect nature and for human recreation. Hikers will find what they are looking for on the 440km of hiking trails, cyclists can enjoy themselves on the cycle path network, mountain bikers have 200km of unpaved trails at their disposal, and horseback riders can enjoy an extensive equestrian network. Something for everyone! The huge nature reserve has 9 gateways. These are places at the edge of the National Park with all the necessary facilities such as a large parking lot, information boards, catering, toilets, etc.
